Last Blog!

So this is the last blog of the semester!! I kind of liked this project though, it let's you get out anything your feeling. It's a good use of the first amendment ! I do wish, however, that we could have blogged about anything. I think blogging is a good way to stay in touch with distant family members or friends. I think whenever I start my family I'll start blogging about my kids and their lives. I would also use this if I ever study abroad, to keep in touch with my family without making all of those long distance calls!

St. Patty's Day

Slippery Rock, along with many other parts of the country, are filled with Irish shirts and green beer today! College students, and local taverns, really take advantage of the opportunity to have a reason to get drunk on a random weekday. While many find reasons to validate their drinking (passing a test, being done with a class, getting up on time), there is no better reason than a holiday that no one really understands. So, while I sit here and put down those going out tonight, I will more than likely be found at Ginger Hill drinking green beer for no other reason than it's a holiday, and we might as well celebrate!

352 Field

Even though 352 is over for this semester, it is unusual getting used to being able to sleep in until ten. 352 was a good learning class. It allowed the students to learn how to write a proper lesson. In a lot of my phys. ed. classes now I am writing lessons. None of these lessons are similar to 352. Actually, none of these lessons are similar to each other. While they all have the same idea of objectives, anticipatory sets, transitions, etc. The format for all of them are completely different. As a student this is somewhat confusing, but I suppose in the long run it helps us to be well-rounded educators.

Spring at Slippery Rock

After Spring break brings the joy of knowing that the semester is half way over. As much as I want to stay young, I am completely ready to be done with school! I wish I could stay 21 forever, and have a full time teaching job. That would be great! While I am 100% looking forward to spring, I am not looking forward to girls wearing mini skirts and UGG boots. I don't know if that is suppose to be a fashion statement or if they just think that looks cute? I also can't stand when they decide to state this fashion and then complain how cold they are. Hopefully their feet are warm though, because obviously that is the most important part.
